Sometimes it’s useful to block your caller ID from the party you are calling, this can be achieved easily with Cross Connect. This feature is sometimes referred to as “withholding” or “anonymous calling”.
Depending on the device taking the call, the remote party will see either “anonymous”, “Private Number” or “No CallerID”.
- Persistent blocking
- Adhoc blocking
To enable persistent caller ID blocking simply dial *67 from your device. A system prompt will confirm that the feature is active.
Once you are ready to remove the caller ID blocking dial *68 from your device. A system prompt will then confirm the block has been removed.
To block your caller ID once on an outbound call you can prefix the number to call with *81.
i.e *8107535123456 will dial 07535123456 anonymously.
The next call placed will have the users standard caller ID.
