On-Demand/Mid-Call Recording

The Recording Module can support on-demand recording via the portal, Call Connect webphone, and through mid-call DTMF (star codes). 

Call Connect (web phone)

Whilst on a call select Start Recording.  Once selected this will change to give a Stop Recording option.

Cross Connct User Portal

Users will see a red recording button in the phone modal popup in the portal.

Midcall DTMF (on any device)

Whilst on a call dial:

*75 to Pause Recording during a call 

*76 to Resume Recording during a call

Note: ​There is no audio prompt to announce that the recording has been paused or resumed. Users should notify parties on the call when recording has been paused and again when it has been resumed. 

When a recording is paused the redaction is filled in with PCM silence, so the resulting recording will have the same call duration as the CDR.
